Funeral services for Robert Lee Banes, Sr., 67 year old Picher Oklahoma, a hard rock lead and zinc miner, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Goodson-Durnil chapel, in Picher. The Rev. W. H. Wheat will officiate. Banes died suddenly Monday evening at his home, 334 South Connell avenue. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Skiles, Baxter Springs Kansas, and Mrs. Frank Wood, Joplin Missouri.; two sons, Chester Banes, Excelsior Springs Missouri, and Robert L. Banes, Jr., Baxter Springs Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Barron and Mrs. Harry Barron, Fredericktown Missouri; and seven grandchildren. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The body will lie in state at the chapel in Picher until the funeral hour. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, near Webb City Missouri.
