of Miami died at 7:38 am Tuesday, Nov 9, 1999, at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center of Miami after a long illness. He was 77. Mr. Baldwin was born Dec 16, 1921 in Miami to Fred W. Baldwin and Annas Darrell. He had lived in Miami all of his life. He graduated from Miami High School in 1939. He received an Associate of Arts and Industrial Arts degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College in Miami. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, with six Bronze Stars. He was a former hard rock lead and zinc miner in the mines of the Tri-State district. He worked in shipping at B. F. Goodrich, Miami, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church, Goodrich Retiree Club, DAV in Miami, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite of Tulsa. He married Leavia Woffard on Oct 23, 1948 at Columbus Kansas. She preceded him in death Feb 24, 1993. Survivors include two sons, Everette Miles Baldwin, Jr. and his wife Amy Baldwin of Ft. Worth Texas, and James Leon Baldwin and his wife Marlene Baldwin of Claremore Oklahoma; four grandchildren, David Baldwin, Jonathan Baldwin, Joseph Baldwin and Susan Johnson; two step-grandchildren, Robin Pearce and Sally Pearce; one great grandchild, Ashley Baldwin. The funeral services is at 10 am Friday, Nov 12, at the Northwest Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Ottawa Oklahoma Indian Cemetery. Services are under direction of Cooper-Althouse funeral home in Miami.
