of Quapaw Oklahoma, 29 years old, who had been treated for erysipelas, died in Miami Baptist hospital Saturday night. He was employed as a power shovel operator at the Ottawa Mill of the Tri-State Milling Company for some time. Surviving are his wife, Olivene Balay, and son, Jerry Eugene Balay, age 14 months, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Balay of Seneca Missouri; five brothers, Hubert Balay of Neosho Missouri, Rex Balay, Ralph Balay, Frank Balay and Leo Balay, all of Seneca Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Judd of Granby Missouri, and Mrs. Francis Hoff of Seneca. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Quapaw with the Rev. M. R. Dareing officiating, assisted by C. M. Montgomery. Burial will be in the Seneca cemetery under direction of the Durnil funeral home, Picher Oklahoma.
