54 years old, died at his home in Baxter Springs Kansas, Rt 2 at 12:15 a.m. today. He had worked in the Tri-State district lead and zinc mines for several years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alta Baker of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Rachael Modell of Prague Oklahoma, and Mrs. Wanda Kink of Oklahoma City, and four sons, Dick Baker of Lewis Kansas, Don Baker and Jimmy Baker, both of Bartlesville Oklahoma, and Billie Baker of the home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Goodson-Durnil funeral home.

Funeral services for William W. Baker, 54 years old, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Mission church in Galena Kansas. The Rev. Walter Michener will officiate. Baker, a former miner, died Tuesday morning. Burial will be in a Lowell Kansas cemetery. Goodson- Durnil funeral home is in charge.
