Picher Oklahoma. John Baker, a hard rock lead and zinc miner, died Dec 14, 1920, age 33, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lee Bowman, near the Walker Mine at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from tuberculosis. Baker is survived by one daughter, Myrtle Baker, 7 years old, and a son, Carl Baker, 5 years old; his mother, Mrs. Gilbert Baker, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted from the Bowman residence at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Posey will officiate. Burial Dec 16, 1920, will be in the Miami G.A.R. cemetery.
