--- ...succumbed following a long illness. A former member of the city council, Baker belonged to the local Masonic lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Baker; two daughters, Johnnie Baker and Judy Baker, all of the home; a son, Bill Baker, a student at the University of Oklahoma, Norman Oklahoma; his mother, Mrs. Judy Baker, Eufaula; five sisters, Mrs. Ella Birks and Mrs. Georgie French, both of Eufaula Oklahoma; Mrs. Stella Starks, Checotah Oklahoma; Mrs. Ellen Johnson, Henryetta Oklahoma, and Mrs. Geneva Halloway, Miami; a brother, John Baker, Commerce, and one grandson.
