74 years old, a retired a hard rock lead and zinc miner and millman, died at his home in Commerce Oklahoma, at 11:40 a.m. Saturday after a long illness. A resident of Commerce for 28 years, he worked in the mines for 17 years. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Addie Babbitt of the home; two sons, Ervin W. Babbitt and William I. Babbitt, both of Commerce; a daughter, Mrs. G. F. Sutton of Miami; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Parks of Welch Oklahoma and Mrs. Mary Kaler of Independence Missouri; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be announced by the Goodson-Durnil funeral home.
