Funeral services for Burr Lewis Aton will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the First Methodist church in Miami. A veteran Eagle -Picher employee, Aton, age 59, died at 11:15 pm Saturday at Baptist hospital, where he had been a patient since Wednesday. He resided at Picher Oklahoma for 45 years before moving to Miami six years ago. Aton was purchasing agent at Eagle-Picher's Central Mill. He had been an Eagle-Picher employee for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Leona Aton, of the home at 2002 E Street Northwest, Miami; two sons, Jim Aton and Tom Aton, both of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Rardin, Ponca City Oklahoma and Mrs. Jeanne Evans, Joplin Missouri; his mother, Mrs. Lelia Aton, Picher; three brothers, James Nelson Aton, Hammond Indiana, Tom Aton, Shawnee Oklahoma and John Aton, Picher; two sisters, Mrs. Lelia Wood, Baxter Springs Kansas, and Mrs. Wanda Nichols, Salinas California; a half-brother, Clifford Vaughan, Reddings California, and two grandchildren. The Rev. Lloyd Peters will officiate at Tuesday's service. Burial will be in the Racine Missouri cemetery under direction of the Paul Thomas mortuary, Picher. Pallbearers will be Rolla Carrick, Harry Dodson, Myron Jenkins, Chester Barnett, Lindall Irwin and Paul Buttram, Eagle-Picher employees will be honorary pallbearers.
