of Picher Oklahoma, died Monday, Feb 20,1995, at Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami. He was 82. He was born August 25,1912, in Ava Missouri, to Albert Arnold and Martha Elizabeth Uber Arnold. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Irene Arnold, on April 24, 1973, and a daughter, Sharon Kay Lake. He moved from Purcell Missouri, and had lived in the Picher area most of his life. He joined the Navy and was a World War II veteran. He was a retired hard rock lead and zinc miner for Eagle-Picher Mining Company. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Lake, Baxter Springs Kansas: a brother, William Arnold of Commerce Oklahoma; three sisters, Dorothy Bell, and Jewell Brown, both of Baxter Springs Kansas, and Naomi Sheppell, Vesta California; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services were Thursday, Feb 23, 1995, at the Paul Thomas funeral home chapel in Picher, officiated by the Rev. Erland Bell. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Northeast Oklahoma Veterans Funeral Detail at the Baxter Spring Kansas cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Woods, Donnie Mahurin, Larry Mahurin, Floyd Mahurin, Donnie Fenton, Charlie Bunce, James Brown and Dave Miller. Services were under the direction of Paul Thomas funeral home in Picher.
