Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Saturday morning at the Union church at Picher Oklahoma, for Ike Arnett, who passed away in the Miami Baptist hospital at 5:30 Thursday morning. The Rev. C. E. Bergen officiated and was assisted by the Rev. Roy Walker. Burial was in the Greenlawn Kansas cemetery northwest of Picher and Treece Kansas, under the direction of the Thomas funeral home. He was born August 8, 1884 in Baxter Springs Kansas and passed away at the age of 67 years, eleven months and nine days. For about thirteen years he was employed with the Lula Bell Mine, but for the past year he was working with the Bitco Company in Cardin Oklahoma. Survivors are his wife, Doxey Arnett, of the home, 216 S. Alta, three daughters, Lola Pancake, Pioneer Texas; Flora Warren, Austin Texas, and Miss Louise Arnett of Ranger Texas; three step-sons, Herbert Martin of Moses Lake, Washington, M. D. Martin, San Jose, California, and R. C. Martin of Liberty Missouri; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lois Cochran of Oklahoma City; one brother, Fred Arnett of Lincolnville Oklahoma; and eleven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Floyd Warstler, Floyd Tobe' Wood, Ernie Wood, Junior Clark, Duff Coble, and Claude Stout.
