Funeral services for Fred Armstrong, 48 years old, who died Saturday afternoon after taking poison were conducted at 10 o'clock this morning at the Cooper chapel by the Rev. T. W. Medearis, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial was in Baxter Springs Kansas cemetery. Armstrong died in Miami Baptist Hospital before a physician arrived. An investigation did not reveal where he had taken the poison, but he entered a hotel lobby and asked the clerk to call a policeman and an ambulance. He was in a comatose condition when the ambulance arrived. Armstrong lived at 402 A Street Southeast, Miami.
