74 years old, a resident of Picher Oklahoma for 18 years, died at 10 last night at his home, 210 South Treece Street, following a long illness. Anderson formerly was engaged as a mechanic and mining blacksmith at Picher and at Carterville Missouri. He made his home in Carterville for 22 years before moving to Picher. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary Oct 23, 1932, when the congregation of the Union church joined the couple in re-enacting the wedding ceremony, with the Rev. Wesley Post reading the service. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Malinda Anderson; four daughters, Mrs. Glen Sweetland of Seattle Washington; Mrs. Chlora Simpson of Barnsdalle Oklahoma; Mrs. Bertha Hicks and Mrs. Loita Barmore of Picher; a brother, Perry Anderson, living in Illinois, and a half-brother, Alexander Anderson of Winfield Kansas. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Union Church of Picher. The Rev. Wesley Post will officiate assisted by Rev. J. H. Mott and the Rev. Mrs. Harry Craig. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miami. Pallbearers will be G. T. Bristow, Harry Craig, Fred Gary, A. D. Ebersole, Lee Payton and Horace Rider.
