48 years old, 315 North Vantage Street, Picher, died at the Picher Oklahoma hospital at 2 o'clock this morning, after a long illness due to a complication of ailments. He had resided in Picher seven years, during which time he worked in the hard rock lead and zinc mines, being last employed as a shoveler at the New Chicago Mine corporation. Mr. Ahalt was a deacon of the Christian church which was disbanded recently and sometime served as superintendent of the Sunday school. Previous to living here he resided at Pittsburg Kansas. He was unmarried. Besides his mother, Mrs. Agnes Aldrich of Kansas City, surviving are three brothers, Harry Ahalt, of Picher, Floyd Ahalt of Kansas City and George Ahalt of Mindon Mines Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Cox of Pittsburg Kansas, and Mrs. Peary Compton of Shenandoah Iowa. Burial at G.A.R. cemetery, Miami Oklahoma. The body is at the parlor of the Green undertaking company.
