age 65, died. Mrs. Vandagriff, widely known minister of the district, died Saturday night, Nov 5, 1927, at her home on Cherokee St., Picher Oklahoma. Death was due to paralysis with which she was stricken the day preceding her death. She was taken ill about a week before being stricken with paralysis, but her condition had not alarming. Mrs. Vandagrife was one of the most widely known ministers of the entire district. She had been a minister 15 years and for several years had been assistant pastor of the Union Church, Picher Oklahoma, being teacher of the Ladies Bible Class at the Union Sunday School, which class with its members of more than 50, has the distinction of being one of the largest Sunday School classes in Northeastern Oklahoma. Mrs. Vandagriff had resided in Picher the last 10 years coming from Webb City, Missouri where she lived many years. She was the wife of Charles Vandagriff.. She is also survived by two sons, Lorn Vandagriff of Birmingham, Alabama and Sterling Vandagriff at home, and two daughters, Mrs. F. O. Gary of Picher and Mrs. William Stubblefield of Mount Dorn, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at the Union Church Tuesday, Nov 8, 1927...Pallbearers will be members of her Sunday School Class. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Oklahoma, under the direction of the Todd Undertaking company.
