Locke, Dr. John Edgar

age 66, died. Dr. Locke, a former physician of Picher Oklahoma, died yesterday morning, May 28, 1927, at a Joplin Missouri Hospital, where he had been a patient three weeks. Dr. Locke's death followed a two years' illness from cancer of the spine. He had been bedfast eight months, most of which time he had been a patient at the Picher Hospital and a hospital in Miami Oklahoma. Before locating in Picher, Dr. Locke resided at Webb City Missouri, where he served as mayor one term. He was a practicing physician 33 years. He was born at Kokomo, Indiana and when 31 years old located in Jasper County, Missouri. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Lois Locke of Kansas City, Miss Winifred Locke of Picher and Miss Merion Locke of Webb City; a sister, Mrs. Laua Fressler of Kokomo, and three brothers, Daniel Locke and William Locke of Kokomo, and George F.
