Announcement of the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr and Mrs. W. Alvin Hall of Douthat Oklahoma make a little reminiscence appropriate. On Apr 6, 1877 in the town of Leeds, Green County, New York. Ella I. Clement, age 18 was married to W. Alvin Hall, age 20. Six years later they moved to Joplin, Missouri where they lived until 1917. From Joplin they went to Picher, Oklahoma and in 1920 moved to Douthat Oklahoma. They have three children, all living. Their sons, Edwin W. And Alvin C. Hall, are employed by the Hecla Mining company in Burke, Ida. Their daughter, Mrs. Edith H. Wakefield, lived in Denver Colorado. Mr. Hall is timekeeper for the Ramage Mining Company at Douthat. Note: William Alvin Hall, died Oct 19, 1927, burial Oct 22, 1986, G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Oklahoma .
