age 11, died. Daughter of Mr and Mrs. Peter Collins, of Commerce, died of typhoid fever at 7 last night at a local hospital. Death followed a several weeks illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Todd Undertakers at Picher Oklahoma.

While funeral rites were being held today for Viola Mae Collins, 11 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Collins, of three miles west of Cardin Oklahoma, who died of typhoid fever Wednesday night at the American Hospital in Picher, her youngest brother, Harry Collins, age7 lay critically ill of the same disease in the hospital. The brother and sister after contacting the fever were taken to the hospital at 5 pm Wednesday afternoon in an ambulance. The girl died two hours later. Funeral services for the child were conducted at 10 am Saturday morning at the Catholic Church in Miami. Burial was at Lincolnville Oklahoma, under direction of the Todd Undertaking Co. Besides her parents and the ill brother she is survived by one sister, Juanita Collins and another brother Joseph Collins. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Xaviar, and an uncle, Thomas Xavier live at Lincolnville, Viola had seen attending St. Mary's School at Lincolnville. She had been ill only a week. Note: Researcher S. Mahurin has not been able to locate burial place.
