White, Walker Neal

Died Aug 26, 1930, age 23. White, a hard rock lead and zinc miner, died. On Jun 11, 1930, he was fatally injured when a can in which he was being hoisted from the mine shaft crashed into hoisting equipment in the derrick. He received a badly injured back, and later he died from the accident. Burial in the Carterville Cemetery, Carterville Missouri.

He worked as a machine man. The accident happened Jun 11, 1930.

The accident proved fatal to White 10 weeks later on Aug 26, 1930.
