Picher, Mar 27 - Harvey Turrentein [sic], age 23, of Cardin Oklahoma, died at American hospital shortly before 1 am today, as a result of injuries received at 11:30 yesterday morning at the Woodchuck mine when he fell from an upper level to a lower level, a distance of about 30 feet. Turrentein's injuries were not at first considered serious, but late yesterday afternoon it was seen that he had suffered internal injuries of an alarming nature. Mr. Turrentein is survived by his wife, Mrs. Goldie Turrentein; two sons, Harvey and William Turrentein, at home; a step daughter, Eulah May Turrentein; his father, W. O. Turrentein of Cardin; a brother, Archie Turrentein, residing in Arkansas; and two sisters, Mrs. Susie McKinney, also of Arkansas, and Mrs. Nevada Turner, in California. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cardin Baptist church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. The pastor, the Rev. J. T. Fowlkes, will officiate and burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami. The funeral will be in charge of the Todd funeral home, Picher Oklahoma. Note: Obit contributed by "Shane."
