W. J. Stiver Succumbs ...Mr. Stiver died at his home in Grove Oklahoma on May 2, 1930, he was age 69.l hand had been ill for a short time. He was a graduate of the Valparaiso Indiana Penmanship College, while very young, and taught that profession for several years in Indiana. He later took up the carpentry trade. On Oct 31, 1886 he married Ida May Bibler at Wooster Indiana and they had six children. Two of the children preceded him in death several years ago. His wife and following children survive him; Russell A. Stivers, Thomas Stivers, Mrs. Emma B. Stivers Forbes, all of Grove Oklahoma and a sister Mrs. C. E. Huff of Warsaw Indiana. Funeral services in Vinita Oklahoma at the residence of Rev. Morgan.
