Picher Oklahoma, Jun 26 Chris Yocam, 61 years old, of Zincville Oklahoma, died at Miami Baptist hospital at 8 o'clock last night as the result of injuries received earlier in the day at the Bird Dog Mine when struck by a large boulder rolling down a stope. The accident occurred at 2:30 pm. Both of Yocam's legs were broken, his left arm was broken and his skull was fractured. He was employed as a machine man. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance of the Cooper undertaking company of Miami.

Yocam had lived in he mining district the last 19 years. He had been employed by the Commerce Mining and Royalty Company eight years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laverna Yocam two daughters, Mrs. W. C. John and Mrs. J. E. Buxton, of Alba Missouri; two brothers, Jess Yocam of Joplin Missouri and Edward Yocam of Alba; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Christian church at Alba Missouri at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with the Rev. Mr. Famueller of Joplin officiating. Burial will be in the Purcell Missouri cemetery by the Todd undertaking company, of Picher. Short services will be held at 12 o'clock at the home. The Rev. Mrs. Harry Craig will officiate.
