Woolford Killed in Jay Bird Mine

Dennis Woolford was killed in the Jay Bird Mine about 12 o'clock Monday night. Woolford was tamping a shot, when it was exploded prematurely, blowing him to atoms. Woolford was from Purcell Missouri, and had been working in the mines for some time. He was an expert in handling explosives and no one can tell just how the accident occurred.
