Picher Oklahoma, Oct 3 W. D. Dick Woods, 42 years old, was instantly killed at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon while shoveling at the Blue Diamond Mine of the State Line Lead and Zinc Company, one mile north of Picher. The body was taken to the morgue of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.

Woods was engaged in "clean-up" work when a large rock rolled from the stope and caught him. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mollie Jackson of Seneca Missouri, and his two children, 2 and 4 years old. He had been married two times, but each wife had died. Funeral services will be conducted at Seneca, at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. Burial will be in a cemetery near Seneca.
