Picher Oklahoma, July 21. Oscar Watkins of Miami, a shoveler, sustained a fractured skull and probable internal injuries, and James Oliver of Cardin Oklahoma, a bruno man, were painfully bruised and probable internally injured, when they were caught beneath a falling mass of rock and dirt at 4 this afternoon at the Crystal Mine near Cardin Oklahoma. Watkins is in the American hospital at Picher in a serious condition. Oliver was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was able to be removed to his home.

Oscar Watkins, 23 years old, of Miami, died at a hospital in Picher Oklahoma at 1 am this morning as the result of injuries received yesterday afternoon at the Crystal Mine, one-half mile west of Cardin Oklahoma. He was employed as a shoveler and caught beneath a falling slab. Besides his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Eubanks, 229 J street northwest, Miami, with whom he made his home; he is survived by three brothers, Cloe Watkins and Curtis Watkins of Miami and Ed Watkins of Commerce Oklahoma, and two sisters, Miss Eliza Watkins of California and Miss Gertie Watkins of New Mexico. The body is at the Todd undertaking parlor at Picher. The funeral will be at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Eubanks. The Rev. M. L. Simpson, pastor of the First Methodist church of Miami, will speak. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami Oklahoma under direction of the Picher undertaking company.

The funeral of Oscar Watkins of Miami, who died early Wednesday morning from injuries received at the Crystal Mine, near Cardin Oklahoma, was held Thursday afternoon at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Eubanks, 229 J street northwest, Miami. Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery by the Todd undertaking company of Picher Oklahoma.
