Jack Viles, Sr., of Miami died unexpectedly this morning after suffering a heart attack while working at the W. M. & W. Mine near Quapaw Oklahoma. Viles, 56 years old resided at 513 E street southeast, Miami, and had lived in this area for many years. Surviving are a son, Jack Viles, Jr., of Baxter Springs Kansas; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Miami; three grandchildren; three brothers, Cotton Viles of Sand Springs Oklahoma; Lloyd Viles, Southwest City Missouri, and Jeff Viles, Aurora Missouri; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Shirley of Fort Worth Texas, Mrs. Della Prather, Grove Oklahoma and Mrs. Ava Collins, Miami. The body was received by the Cooper funeral home here at Miami.

Jack Oris Viles, age 54, died June 7, 1951, near Picher Oklahoma. Buried Baxter Springs Kansas. Father Jeff Viles and mother's last name was Smith.
