Charging that negligence of the defendant companies resulted in the death of her husband last Nov 21, 1941, Mrs. Alice Tillman, Ottawa County, Oklahoma resident, has filed a $60,000 lawsuit in Ottawa County, Oklahoma district court at Miami. Ben Tillman, 33, a machine man at the Skelton Mine No. 23, located near Picher Oklahoma, was killed, the plaintiff's petition claims, by a slab fall. She maintains that proper inspection near the head of the drift in which her husband was working, had not been made. Named as defendants are the Davis-Big Chief Mining Company and the Skelton Lead and Zinc Company.
