Ollie Thompson, ground boss at the Lucky Strike Lead and Zinc Company's property, south of St. Louis Oklahoma, was killed instantly Tuesday night, when he was struck by a mass of broken pipe. Thompson had gone down into the mine to make some repairs on a pump. Fred Wiles saw the pipe fall and strike the foreman. One hundred and sixty feet of six-inch pipe fell upon Thompson. Thompson leaves a wife and three children.

The damage suit instituted by Lillie Thompson against the Lucky Strike Lead and Zinc Company for the death of her husband last September, was settled out of court Saturday. The suit, officers of the Company said, was brought that legal release might be obtained. The consideration of the settlement was $1,800.
