Cardin Oklahoma, June 11. Thomas I. Stanfield, 28 years old, a Cardin Oklahoma hard rock lead and zinc miner, was instantly killed by electricity while at work in the sludge mill at the mine of the Kansas Exploration Company across the line in Kansas three miles north of Cardin at 8 this forenoon. No one saw the accident, but Stanfield's body was found on a platform by the side of a mill motor when employees went to search for the trouble when the power went off suddenly. There were no burns on the body and no bruises of any kind. Parties at the mill said that he must have touched a high voltage wire or some part of the machinery that was highly electrified, but the details of the unfortunate accident will probably never well be known. Stanfield is survived by his wife and one child. His body lies in the morgue of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher Oklahoma awaiting burial. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
