Pylee Mine

Miami Daily Record Herald · Jun 29 1919 · Pg 1 · Col 6

Alleging that her husband, George Standler, was killed from the effects of a rock falling on his head in a shaft of a mine owned by the Pylee Lead and Zinc Company, Mrs. Narcia Standler, is asking for $10,000 damages from the company. Standler was working in the shaft of the hard rock lead and zinc mine, which is located on the edge of Commerce Oklahoma, when a rock fell on his head. He was injured, but continued with his work until the injury grew so much worse that he had to stop. It is claimed that the rock was dislodged by the cable on the bucket, and that the company was negligent.
