Picher Oklahoma. Ferman Snyder, 34 years old, of Belville Missouri, northwest of Joplin Missouri, died at 6:30 o'clock last night as a result of being overcome by heat while working at the Lavrion Mine, formerly known as the Admiralty Mine No. 3, situated in the west part of Douthat Oklahoma. Snyder was employed as a screen man.
Snyder became ill about one hour after going to work at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at which time a fellow workman was said to have remarked to him that he was getting too hot and that he had better rest a few minutes to cool off. About an hour later he collapsed and died within a few minutes. He was taken to American hospital at Picher in a Todd ambulance, where physicians, after making an examination, pronounced that death occurred some minutes before he reached the hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Snyder; one daughter, Grace Snyder, and a son, Raymond Snyder, at home; his mother, Mrs. Eva Carter of Picher, and three step-sisters, Mrs. Opal Pruitt of Webb City Missouri, Mrs. Emma Hutchinson and Mrs. Ruth Hutchinson, of Picher. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow after noon at the Zincite church at Belville. The place of burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas. The Todd undertaking company, of Picher Oklahoma is in charge.
