Picher Oklahoma, May 15 James Russell Shawver, 28 years old, of Treece Kansas, died at 7 last night, May 14, 1928, at a local hospital as the result of injuries received several hours previous at the Tulsa-Quapaw Mine when he fell beneath a moving freight car. Death was caused by internal injuries. Shawver also suffered a broken leg. Shawver was an employee of the Producers Gravel Company and at the time of the accident was assisting in loading chat. Shawver is survived by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Shawver, a small son, James Russell Shawver, Jr., and other relatives. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Todd mortuary, Picher Oklahoma. Note: Burial in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Oklahoma.
