Picher Oklahoma, Feb 5 Charlie Scott, 37 years old, who was injured in a mine accident Wednesday afternoon, Feb 3, 1937, died at the Picher hospital at 7:30 o'clock this morning Feb 5, 1937. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Scott, one daughter, Lois Scott, and two sons, Harold Scott and Lyle Scott, all at home; six sisters, Mrs. Elsie Nutt of Knobster Missouri, Ola Nichols of Kansas City Missouri, Elstine Maucam of Douthat Oklahoma, Roselle Whetstone of Picher and Argentina Scott and Billie Scott of Picher. The body is at the Durnil funeral home at Picher.

Scott was injured in an explosion which was caused when a drill he was operating near Golden Rod Mine No. 24 struck dynamite which had failed to explode in a drill hole. He was working directly in front of the hole and was hit in the head and face with flying rock and dirt.

Funeral services for Charles Scott, 37 year old Picher Oklahoma miner who died at Picher hospital Friday, Feb 5, 1937, of injuries he received in an explosion Wednesday, will be held at 2 pm today at the Holiness Mission. The Rev. Henry Horn will officiate. Burial will be at Purcell Missouri, under direction of the Durnil funeral home at Picher.
