Farmington Mine

J. R. Schooley, of Hockerville Oklahoma was killed at the Farmington Mine Monday, Feb 18, 1918, when a car of waste rock was dumped from the tramway, one of the large stones striking him on the head. The car was dumped by John Hicks, a screen man. Mr. Schooley went to Hockerville last spring from Coffeyville Kansas and was living with his son. His wife and younger children still live in Coffeyville, where the body was sent for burial.
