Ode Robinson, a shoveler, was seriously if not fatally injured Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock while working at the Montreal Mine, when a car ran down a track from the first to the second level and struck him, causing a skull fracture and severe scalp wounds. Robinson was taken to the Picher hospital, Picher Oklahoma, in Hocker's ambulance.

Ode Robinson, 47 years old, a well known miner living at Century Oklahoma, who was injured in an accident which occurred Tuesday at the Montreal Mine near Century, died Wednesday night at the Picher hospital, Picher Oklahoma. A car [ore car] on the mine tramway jumped the track and the end of the car crashed into Robinson's head, fracturing his skull in three different places. He is survived by a married daughter who lives in Century.

Douthat Oklahoma, Dec 13 Funeral services for Ode Robertson will be conducted from the Baptist church at this place Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock, and burial will be in Forrest Park cemetery, Joplin Missouri. Robertson died Thursday afternoon at the Picher hospital following injuries received in an accident at the Montreal Mine Tuesday afternoon when a car descended from the first to the second level on an underground track striking Robertson and inflicting a skull fracture and several lacerations.

Mrs. Nellie Taylor, mother of Mamie Knight, as best friend, today filed suit against the Montreal Mining Company for $10,000 on account of the death of Miss Knight's father, Ode Robertson, who was killed December 11, when a car of ore fall through a trap door upon him while he was at work in one of the mines of the company near Douthat Oklahoma. Negligence on failing to close the trap door when the car was to pass over it is alleged as grounds for the damage suit.
