Charles E. Robinson of Hallowell Kansas was killed instantly, last Thursday morning when an estimated five hundred pound boulder fell on him in a mine about a mile southeast of Picher. Robinson, a machinist's helper was trimming a drift with Kenneth Brown, also of Hallowell, when the boulder fell. Brown escaped injury. The body was taken to the Morton-Lundy funeral home in Picher and later removed to a funeral home in Oswego Kansas.
