Picher Oklahoma, Aug. 16 Monroe Reckard, age 22, jackhammer man at the Buffalo Mine of the White Mining Company, north of Picher, was killed instantly at 11 o'clock. Wednesday morning when he drilled into an unexploded charge of dynamite. Reckard is survived by a wife and a small child. The body was removed to the Todd undertaking parlor at Picher. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Picher Oklahoma, Aug. 17 Funeral services for Monroe Reckard, 22, who was instantly killed in an explosion at the White Mining Company's Buffalo Mine in northwest Picher on Wednesday forenoon will be conducted from the Union church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. Wesley Post will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Oklahoma. Reckard is survived by his wife, one child and mother at Picher.
