Picher Oklahoma, Dec. 11.--J. D. Presley, a machine man, 30 years old, received fatal injuries shortly before noon Sunday when he walked near a "squib" shot which had been loaded by other miners at the Golden Rod Mine No. 6. A warning was shouted, but Presley did not get to safety before the shot exploded. He died about an hour later at the Picher hospital, Picher.

The body was taken to the morgue of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher. Little is known concerning his relatives other than he is believed to have relatives in Arkansas City Kansas. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Picher Oklahoma, Dec. 12. The body of James D. Presley, a miner who died as a result of an accident at the Golden Rod Mine, No. 8, Sunday, was sent to Springfield Missouri, today for burial by the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.
