Picher Oklahoma, April 19 John Poindexter, age 47, was instantly killed and Ernest Williams and Grant Gentle were injured by a falling slab at the Skelton Mine No. 2, near Douthat Oklahoma Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Poindexter's body was taken to the morgue of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher, where it awaits the arrival of relatives to make funeral arrangements. He formerly lived in Picher on River street, but was living at Carthage Missouri where he is survived by a wife, daughter and two step-sons. He has a son, John Poindexter in the American Expeditionary Force whose name appeared in the casualty list as missing.

Williams resides at Saginaw Missouri He has a leg broken and other injuries and is in the Picher hospital, Picher Oklahoma. Gentle lives in Galena Kansas, and is only slightly injured.

The body of John Poindexter, 47 years old, who was instantly killed at the Skelton Mine No. 2, near Cardin Oklahoma, when a slab of dirt fell and completely covered him, was taken to Joplin Missouri Wednesday morning, from which place it will be shipped to Stott City for burial. He is survived by his wife, a son in France, a daughter and two step-sons. His parents reside at Enid Oklahoma, and two brothers reside at Stott City Missouri.
