A horrible accident occurred at the McKee Mine on Turkey Creek yesterday morning about 10 o'clock. Robert H. Petty, who runs a pump shaft engine for Moffet and Sargent got caught in the machinery some way, and was instantly killed. Mr. Petty was a nephew of John B. Sargeant, and was an honorable, upright Christian gentlemen. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his terrible fate.
