Funeral arrangements for Ethmer Thomas Pendergraft, 35 year old Miami miner who was electrocuted while working on a power line of the Eagle Picher Mining and Smelting Company, west of Cardin Oklahoma, Thursday morning, Aug 23, 1945, were still pending word from distant relatives today. Pendergraft, who lived one mile north of Miami, was pronounced dead two hours and a half after the fatal accident. He was caught on the wire and considerable time elapsed before he could be extricated and removed to the ground. The accident occurred one-fourth miles north of the Wesah Greenback Mine, west of Cardin. He was working on a pole at the time he came in contact with the line. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Pendergraft; a son, Charles Pendergraft, and two daughters, Westine Pendergraft and Carol Pendergraft, all of the home; his father, Thomas Pendergraft of Miami; one brother, Fred Pendergraft of Greeley Colorado, and one sister, Mrs. Helen Clanton of Independence Missouri. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Durnil Funeral home of Picher Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Ethmer Thomas Pendergraft, 35 year old Miami miner who was electrocuted while working on a power line of the Eagle Picher Mining and Smelting Company, west of Cardin Oklahoma, Thursday morning, Aug 23, 1945, will be conducted at 2:30 this afternoon at the assembly of God church. The Rev. W. C. Shackelford will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Durnil funeral home of Picher Oklahoma.
