Hockerville Oklahoma, Oct 26 George Parmer, 26 year old Joplin man was instantly killed at 9:30 o'clock this morning when many tons of dirt fell without warning from the roof of the drift in which he was working in the Coyne Lead and Zinc Company Mine, one-half mile south of Hockerville. He was buried under a mass of rocks and dirt, and it was several minutes before fellow workmen could extricate the body. L. Cline, 45, also of Joplin was working with Parmer and was slightly injured. He was taken to the office of Dr. E. D. Mabrey, who said his injuries were not serious. Parmer's body is being held at the parlors of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher Oklahoma. Parmer was married and resided in the Smelter Hill district in Joplin Missouri.
