Parkison, Andy

Big Jack Mine

Miami Record Herald · Jul 15 1910 · Pg 8 · Col 4

Andy Parkison was crushed to death in the Big Jack Mine at Lincolnville Oklahoma last Wednesday, by a slab falling on him. The accident occurred last week about the time the Record Herald went to press. Which accounts for the accident not being reported sooner. The funeral last Friday was largely attended at the Baxter Springs Kansas cemetery. Deceased was a son of J. H. Parkison, a Lincolnville Oklahoma merchant, and highly respected.

The paper changed names several times making it difficult to search by title. Most of the Hard Rock Lead and Zinc Fatalities newspaper clippings are from the personal files of I. D.
