Picher Oklahoma, April 22.--Robert Page of Cardin Oklahoma, a powder man at the Federal-Gordon Mine, was injured about his face and hands about 7 o'clock last night by a "squib" shot. He was taken to the American hospital, Picher, in the Todd ambulance of Picher. The thumb and first finger of the left hand and part of the thumb of the right hand were amputated.

The condition of Robert Page of Cardin Oklahoma, a powder man at the Gordon Mine, who one week ago was injured about the face and hands by a "Squib shot," remains serious. He is at the American hospital at Picher Oklahoma. In addition to a fractured skull, amputation of the thumb and first finger of the left hand and part of the thumb of the right hand was necessary.

Picher Oklahoma, May 6 Robert Page, 35 years old, died at 1 this afternoon at the American hospital, Picher, from injuries received two weeks ago at the Gordon Mine. He was injured about the head and hands by a "squib" shot. He was a powder man. The body is at the Todd undertaking parlor at Picher. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Mrs. John Sullivan of Webb City Missouri, is his sister-in-law. Other relatives have not been reached.

Funeral services for Robert Page, 43 years old, of Cardin Oklahoma, who died at a local hospital yesterday from injuries received in a mine accident, will be held at the chapel of the Knell undertaking company at Carthage Missouri, at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. Burial will be in the Park cemetery, beside the body of his wife who died seven years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Ruby Page, 13 years old. The daughter resides near Carthage. The funeral will be under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher Oklahoma.

The Federal Mining and Smelting Company was named defendant in a suit filed today in the district court by H. H. Hively, administrator of the estate of Robert Page, for $2,977 damages. Page died May 6, 1925, as a result of injuries received three weeks previous in a premature explosion at the old Gordon Mine, northwest of Commerce Oklahoma, where he was employed as a powder man.
