The Golden Rod Mining and Smelting Company was named defendant in a suit for $3,000 damages filed Saturday in district court by Mrs. Ida Moffett, widow of William Moffett, who died Dec. 12, as the result of injuries, the petition alleges, received in an accident in the mining company's carpenter shop, in which Moffett was employed. The suit charges the defendant company with negligence in not properly guarding a hacksaw.
