Aurora Missouri, March 6. Lavere McWhirter, 24 years old, died late last night in the Aurora hospital from injuries received Monday morning while working in a hard rock lead and zinc mine of the American Lead and Zinc Company, near Aurora. McWhirter was struck on the head and shoulders by a large boulder which fell from the roof of a shaft where he was working. He was the son of Frank McWhirter and had resided in this vicinity for several years. He was married. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Aurora funeral home.
