Picher Oklahoma, April 3.--Van Leon McMullin, 23 years old, a shoveler at the Skelton Mine No. 4, near Douthat Oklahoma, was instantly killed 8:30 am this morning when caught beneath a falling slab. He resided at Douthat Oklahoma. Besides his wife, he is survived by a one and one-half year old son and one brother, Asa McMullin, of Douthat Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, the services probably will be held Sunday and that burial will be at Saginaw, near Joplin Missouri, under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher.

Picher Oklahoma, April 4--Funeral services for Van Leon McMullin, 33 years old who was killed yesterday in an accident at the Skelton Mine No. 4, will be held at the family home at Douthat Oklahoma at 10:30 am tomorrow morning. Final services will be held at the Baptist church at Saginaw, near Joplin Missouri, at 1 pm tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be at Saginaw, under the direction of the Todd undertaking company, of Picher. McMullin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jessie McMullin, an 18-month old son, six brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Henry McMullin, Lewis McMullin, John McMullin and Guy McMullin of Joplin; Edward McMullin of Florida and Asa McMullin of Douthat Oklahoma. The sisters are Mrs. Elizabeth Aggus, Mrs. Amanda Neil and Miss Maude McMullin of Joplin Missouri.
