Picher Oklahoma, Sept. 19 C. A. McInturff, 45 years old, an engineer of the Mineral Belt Railroad Company, died at a local hospital this morning about 5 from injuries received last night while beneath his engine making some repairs. Last night, about 8 o'clock, at what is known as Monarch Junction, in the west part of Picher Oklahoma, McInturff crawled beneath the engine to make a slight adjustment. The train was standing on a slight grade and moved forward, breaking his right leg and inflicting internal injuries.
McInturff had been in the employee of the Mineral Belt company for eight years. He was considered an efficient and careful engineer. He resided at 406 South Ella street at Picher and besides his wife is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. McInturff, of Republic Missouri, one brother residing at St. Louis Missouri, and another at Kansas City. The funeral will be held from the family home Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Glenn E. Tilton, pastor of the first Methodist church, will conduct the services and burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Oklahoma cemetery under the direction of the Green undertaking company of Picher Oklahoma.
