McGeary, Joe

Commerce Oklahoma, Oct 21 Joe McGeary, 26 years old, of Commerce, met instant death this afternoon at the Velie Lion Mining Company Mine No. 4, when he was struck by a falling slab. McGeary was a shoveler at the hard rock lead and zinc mine. McGeary is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia McGeary, one child and three step-children. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church in Commerce at 2 pm Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Oklahoma.
