William Martin, jig man at the Bethel Mine at Tar River Oklahoma, [now Cardin] who was injured Saturday when his arm was lacerated by machinery, died Monday at the hospital at Joplin Missouri, where he had been taken for treatment. The injured man was taken to the Mineral Belt railway station at Tar River to be sent to the hospital but on account of the inclement weather, the train was several hours late and Mr. Martin suffered a great deal and became very weak. He was only 21 years old and single. He claimed Webb City Missouri as his home.
