Picher Oklahoma. George Kinder, 29 year old Hockerville miner, died today at Picher hospital of injuries received Wednesday when struck by a slab at the Guarantee Mining and Royalty Company Mine, two miles northeast of Picher.

Kinder, a shoveler, received a fractured right leg and injuries to the pelvic bone. He is survived by his wife, Marie Kinder; two sons, Monfred Lee Kinder and Howard Dale Kinder; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kinder of Hockerville Oklahoma; three brothers, John Kinder and William B. Kinder of Hockerville, and Carl Kinder of Baxter Springs Kansas, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Freshner, Mrs. Fay Laws, and Mrs. Winifred Harrington, all of Hockerville, and Mrs. Lela Bearden of Sterling Kansas. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Durnil funeral home of Picher is in charge. Note: Name is given as J. R. Kinder and George Kinder

Picher Oklahoma. J. R. Kindred, 30 year old hard rock lead and zinc shoveler at the Guarantee Mining and Royalty Company Mine, received a broken right leg and a pelvis injury at the mine at 10:30 am. A slab was reported to have fallen. He was removed to Picher hospital in a Todd ambulance. Kinder is a resident of Hockerville Oklahoma.
